Graham Smith’s Jazz Allsorts

Big Graham, a regular visitor to our club, formed his Allsorts many years ago so it’s surprising that this will be the first time the band has paid us a visit. The personnel is a mixture of musicians well known to us and some not seen before. Led by ex Zenith Stompers trumpeter Tony Pipkin, the front line also has Martin Veasey on trombone and another regular visitor John Hallam, that most sensitive of players, on reeds. Jim Douglas will give us some of his exquisite solos on guitar and John Day, Acker Bilk’s bass player for many years, will complete the rhyhm section with Graham Smith himself on drums.
The promise of all sorts of styles should give us a joyful evening.
