New band, familiar faces! We are delighted to welcome back a band who made their NRC debut in 2022 and left a marked impression on audience.
Band leader and drummer Terry Kennedy takes up the story:- Banjoist Dave Brennan formed the Jubilee Jazz Band in 1962 and I’ve played in it ever since so it seemed natural for me to take over when Dave died. Frank Brooker has been with the band on and off since the mid-70s, Will Robinson for about 10 years, Bob Rowbotham on banjo since Dave became ill. Al Harris(bass) has played with us at our monthly Sunday lunchtime residency in Retford for a couple of years, Richard Slater(trombone) joined us after Mike Taylor’s death. Pianist Don Gwinnett completes the lineup.
