The welcome return of the Savannah Jazz Band We are delighted to begin our 2024 programme with one of our longest-serving and most popular bands with revised personnel who are maintaining their position as one of the leading forces in British Traditional Jazz.
After the retirement due of long-standing leader and drummer John Meehan The Savannah Jazz Band continue to perform, under the leadership of Brian Ellis, aided by the recruitment of Graham Smith in the drum chair and Roger Bird on reeds given Roger Myerscough’s reduced availability.
