We once again look forward to an evening of Hot, New Orleans Jazz as we welcome back one of our regular bands which has proved to be a very exciting line-up, an added attraction is Warren James (banjo & guitar) who also presents some excellent skiffle.

The band was formed after the demise of “Phil Mason’s New Orleans All Stars”, banjoist “Gentleman” Jim McIntosh selected some of his favourite musicians with whom he has had the pleasure of working with over the years. Now living in Germany band leadership is assumed by drummer Baby Jools.

This band represents the latest chapter in a legacy celebrating the distinctive, lively take of the New Orleans idiom instigated by Max Collie’s Rhythm Aces in the mid-sixties and in keeping with this tradition they will provide a lively and entertaining selection of great numbers associated with various genres.

“Magic” Mike Henery (trumpet), Rob Pearce (tombone), Paula Jackman (reeds), Warren James (banjo, guitar & vocals), Jim Swinnerton (bass), Baby Jools (drums)
